Roger was born in Arundel, West Sussex and has lived in the area for most of his life. He was a full-time student for 4 years at the West Sussex College of Art and Design, gaining an L. S. LA., an L. S. LA. D. with distinction and college diplomas also with distinction.

His work is based on a love of nature and a response to its underlying dynamics. He considers regular life drawing vital to the creative process. Roger has recently held a successful exhibition as part of the Arundel Festival Gallery Trail
