The K'ai Men Gallery
An open door for an open mind
Caraline Elderfield

Caraline was traditionally trained to paint in oils, and worked with the human figure for several years.
She now works in a much freer, more experimental way, often using mixed media, collage and printing techniques.
She frequently uses repetitive automatic gesture as a way of releasing unconscious imagery, sometimes working in series, often with elements of text that are based on automatic writing.

She is in her final year of studying for a B.A.(Hons) in Fine Art (Painting) at Northbrook College.
She also regularly exhibits her work and takes part in community art programmes in the West Sussex area.
