Lee Family style T'ai Chi
T'ai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that uses flowing movements and deep breathing to promote physical and mental harmony and well being.

Taoism came into being in China between 10,000 and 5,000 BC. T'ai Chi Ch'uan was just one of the arts used by the early Taoists.

Lee family style (commonly known as the Yin Yang style) was created by Ho-Hsieh Lee around 1,000 BC and passed down through a strict family practice until 1934 when Chan Lee started the UK's first class in Red Lion Square, London.

This is where he first met a then young Chee Soo and a strong bond was formed. Chee Soo eventually, and very proudly took over as chief instructor and president of the association after Chan Lee died in 1954.

Chee Soo very sadly passed away in 1994, but not before passing on his knowledge to new dedicated instructors and laying down his art in a series of excellent books.

Lee style T'ai Chi is a balanced form of T'ai Chi that promotes balance within the mind and body, it is the oldest form of T'ai Chi Ch'uan and the most popular style in the world.

Lee style T'ai Chi is suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness.
